... meanwhile, our Senators are in Washington debating ... sharks? Yes, really. Sharks. The Hill reports, "The feud between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) flared up again Wednesday over Coburn's objection to a bill protecting sharks. The shark legislation, which deals with a prohibition on the harvesting of shark fins, was one of several bipartisan bills intended to protect wildlife that drew objections from Coburn on Wednesday."
So we've got Senators in Washington debating the Great Cats and Rare Canids Act, the Shark Conservation Act and the Southern Sea Otter Recovery and Research Act. And over in the House, against the wishes of many in her own party, Nancy Pelosi herself broke the tie to send everyone home until the elections. But what about a budget? What about essential appropriations bills? What about tax increases? Nope. No time. Time for sharks. Time for Stephen Colbert to testify on immigration. But no time for something that will actually affect your life, your future and your wallet.
I'm just an individual who hopes to inspire but not impose his views on others. I seek not to convince but only hope that my words are written well enough to get others to delve deeper into their own thoughts and ideas. One Nation Under Government
What ever happened to one nation under GOD? What ever happened to the voice of the people? Well these are important questions we ALL need to be asking ourselves. Our government is no longer listening to its people, we are losing our voices. And if we do not learn to stand up for ourselves and for future generations, we will wake up in a Soviet Communistic state. Now I don’t know about you but I’m not going to sit and watch this evil unfold.
I know all of you left-wing, liberal, socialist nuts are saying, ” Now what about all of the people the government is helping with the Health care Bill?” HA! Well first Obamacare is a freedom killer, and if you want the government to decide; what drugs you will take, which doctors to see, if you will even be covered, ect… Then congratulations you will be one of those millions of Americans will be lining up at a government hospital waiting to POSSIBLY be seen by a barley qualified government doctor. Well that is your future, but not mine. “But what about the people living in poverty they are now receiving health care? You are racist for demoting Obama’s Health Care.” That is exactly a Socialistic thought, okay so maybe some lazy homeless guy is now getting doctor attention, but now every noble hardworking American is going to pay $8,125 per person per year. Ouch… I barely make that anyways why am I paying for people who do NOTHING?! And what about all of those homeless people that are homeless because they are criminals, or drug addicts? Congratulation’s your socialist power upheaval is helping a lot of great people. So what about all of us other Americans? Where is our break? We will not get one, in fact there will only be more taxes for those of us who actually work hard to put food on our tables. But wait doesn’t that sound familiar?
Lets take a look at our great history, in 1764 the all great British government decided to start taxing our sugar and our currency. But our courageous founding fathers chose not to stand for the, now this is important, TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. As years go by and the British government chose to ignore the people, and continued to tax the people. That is when our founding fathers stood up for their GOD given rights, and in 1773 they decided to show their distaste. Fast forward to today looks like deja Vu to me.
My fellow American people, we need to stop separating ourselves by race and gender. We need to unite as a Nation under God, and we need to fight for our liberties. We cannot just sit here and expect other people to do this for us we are the generation that needs to be there to fight this communistic idealism. Please remember our history, remember that we were a nation that was founded under God, and that originally all people were created equal. Do not forget the past because history has a tendency to repeat its self. Obama IS taking your freedoms with every bill. He IS trying to divide our nation so that the people will fight each other and ignore the tyrannical overthrow. We are the generation under our founding fathers who are set to the same task to oppose Communism, and to return the powers of the government to its rightful place. UNDER THE PEOPLE. Now if you have made it this far past all of my grammatical errors I applaud you. And now I will give you the duty to inform yourself, your neighbors, and your friends of the evils that are setting foot in our God given nation. I am praying for you and for all Americans to WAKE UP!!!!

- Change your reading material from US Weekly and People Magazine to The Weekly Standard and National Review.
- Put down your local leftist rag and change to reading the editorial pages of The Wall Street Journal
- Stop watching Wheel of Fortune, Oprah, Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight and change the channels to Fox News Channel and some other actual news programs.

The ballot box is still the most potent weapon you have against tyranny ... for now. Use the ballot box next month, or your choice of weapons in the fight for liberty may become much more - shall we say - troubling.

While you still have a chance to do something about the Congress in just a few weeks, you are still stuck with Obama for another two years. So while he is still ruling our country .. and yes, I said "ruling" .. he is going to cram as much "change" down your throat as he can. If you will recall, our esteemed Community Organizer has four pillars for what he calls our "new foundation" for economic recovery. These pillars are: healthcare, financial reform, energy reform and education. Notice, please, the absence of any reference to strengthening American business and making it competitive worldwide again.
America has already seen what the PrezBOCrats have brought us in the arenas of healthcare and financial reform, and America is not pleased. Now we have The Community Organizer working on education. So let me tell you what his education reform will consist of ... making teacher's unions absolutely orgasmic with more taxpayer dollars and less accountability.
Now we have the last Obama pillar .. this to be addressed next year. It will be couched as THE way America will "move forward" and turn the tide of our economy. We're talking about energy reform. But we are not going to see one ginormous piece of energy legislation hit the Congress all at once. No. Obama's tactic to passing his energy legislation will be piece by piece, or as he says, "in chunks." Do you know what else we pass in chunks? Yup --- you got it, and that's pretty much what Obama's energy legislation will be. Similar smell too. This is pretty simple to predict. Obama's energy legislation will be designed to strengthen government, weaken the private sector, and send tingles up and down the various appendages of the leftist environmental zealots out there.

PRESIDENT ZERO'S LATEST JOBS BILL
Let's take this new so-called "jobs bill" that the Democrats have just pushed through congress. The bill comes complete with $30 billion worth of government guarantees for loans to businesses made by smaller financial institutions. Now the Democrats would have you believe that businesses have been out there clamoring for loans but the banks just haven't had the money to lend. That's your mindset, right? Well, you're wrong. First, most small businesses aren't out there trying to borrow money right not. Secondly, the smaller banks out there have plenty of money to loan ... just no customers. The owners of these businesses simply don't want to put whatever wealth they still have on the line while they're faced with the uncertainty of Obama's economic policies. They have no idea what their tax structure is going to look like. They're sitting and waiting for over 150 new sets of regulations to be written by Obama's essentially anti-capitalist cronies, and they're scared to death of ObamaCare. They're simply not in the mood to borrow and invest while so much uncertainty exists.
Let's look at the $30 billion in loan guarantees to banks. This, according to Obama, will make money available to loan to businesses so they can get out there and create jobs. Tell me please, why do the small banks need this money when they're already sitting on over $1 trillion dollars in excess reserves they could loan if they want to? Simple ... the small banks DON'T need the money. The AP reported last week that bank executives are reporting that their customers don't even WANT loans! Expansion plans are on hold until these businessmen see what is going to happen to our economy. The National Federation of Independent Business said that 91% of their members say that all of their credit needs have been met. The demand simply isn't there.
Why, then, the $30 billion in guarantees? First, the Democrats wanted to make it look like they were doing something. The average government-educated citizen might look at this and think to themselves that Obama really does care about jobs and he's doing everything he can to get the money to these small businesses so they can expand and hire. That's why government education is so valuable to the political class. No rational thinking skills taught.
Perhaps, though, the true goal here was more control. What strings would be attached to these guarantees? Have all the rules been written yet? Will the banks have to jump through countless hoops to loan the money? Will PC considerations of race and gender come into the picture? How many banks will find themselves being investigated for failure to have the proper racial and gender ratio of borrowers? I've also heard that perhaps businesses who apply for these loans, and who are turned down, will have appeal rights? Appeals? Do banks really want to accept this money and try to loan it to borrowers if applicants with no good business plan or bad credit can start to tie banks up with appeals?

DELAYING THE VOTE
Can anybody explain to me why Princess Pelosi and the Democrats are so insistent on waiting until after the November elections to vote on the Bush tax cuts? Why? John Boehner is really pressing her to allow for a vote before they leave town on a Republican proposal to extend the Bush tax cuts for all Americans. Boehner says, "If Democratic leaders leave town without stopping all the tax hikes, they are turning their backs on the American people. Adjourning the Congress at the end of this week without a vote to stop all the tax hikes will be a vote to raise taxes on the American people and destroy jobs ... To deny Republican and many Democratic members their right to offer alternative legislation to stop all the tax hikes would be an obvious attempt to circumvent the will of the House and the American people."
What is the absolutely worse-case scenario for Pelosi? She allows this vote to come to the floor and it passes. Then she has to face the wealth envy crowd? She has to explain to folks why she allowed hard-working Americans to keep more of the money they earn. Sounds like an uphill battle if you ask me!

DISASTEROUS DECADE
Barack Obama's weekend address was .. you guessed it .. about the Republican's Pledge to America. Here's a quote from Obama's address.
President Bush cut taxes for everyone. If that was such a terrible philosophy, how come Democrats in Congress are coming out in favor of extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone? If tax cuts are a "worn out philosophy" then you would think Americans would be demanding their repeal, same as they are demanding less spending. But the fact is that they are not. Only Democrats like Barack Obama are, and it is all in the name of class warfare.
While Democrats complain that President Bush wanted to de-emphasize the role of government in business, it was President Bush who wanted to create a regulatory agency in 2003 to oversee Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and it was the Democrats who refused regulation. It was under George Bush that we got Sarbanes-Oxley and the first bailout and creation of TARP. If the policies of increased government regulation and intervention are a "worn out philosophy," then Barack Obama may need to reconsider his subsequent bailouts and takeover of the healthcare industry and auto industry.
Obama seems to believe that George Bush's presidency was so bad that he called it "a disastrous decade we cannot afford to relive." Yet consider these comparisons from Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters...
And by the way, when has it become a bad thing for anyone to "fend for themselves?" That's what Obama said: "cut the middle class loose to fend for itself." Isn't that what we call personal responsibility and self reliance? Apparently the default, at least according to Obama, is that you should be relying on the government until you are capable of doing it on your own. Funnily enough, once you get the muster to do it on your own, the Democrats will then turn around and demonize you for being greedy. Amazing.
